These days a lot of people take interest in combat trainings, not only like a sportive activity, but as a self-defense system as well. Mixed martial arts or MMA that represent a combination of several techniques, schools and directions of fights have obtained wide popularity these days. The origin of mixed martial arts relates to the early times, but their popularity greatly increased only after the popularity of professional box has decreased. The particular interest to the mixed martial arts is demonstrated by the high sales of payable combat translations, wide mass media coverage, the increase in the amount of fighters, as well as the great sales of commodities connected with the mixed martial arts. Krav Maga courses are commonly regarded as a subdivision of the MMA (mixed martial arts). The Krav Maga combat combines CQB (Close Quarters Battle) system, hand-to-hand fight and self-defense techniques that were used by the Israeli Defense Forces. The KAPAP combat (Krav Panim El Panim) was invented in 1940's and was employed by the Jewish Strike Brigades at the time when they used to fight for the independence of the State of Israel. Though Krav Maga is considered to be a subdivision of the MMA (mixed martial arts) the KAPAP school is really specific. The Krav Maga courses do not adhere to any classical or traditional schools of fighting. KAPAP constitutes the all-combat system that combines close fight and self-defense. The Krav Maga combat may be held both with weapon or without it. The staff or KAPAP Academy is mostly composed of former Israeli Military and Police Instructors in the branch of Counter Terror protection. The KAPAP Combative Concepts represents the first center of Krav Maga courses in Illinois. It's still the only center in Illinois certified by the KAPAP Academy. The Krav Maga fighting center is situated close to Chicago and provides to its guests authentic Israeli combative CQB, H2H combat and tactics training. Furthermore, it is possible to visit mixed martial arts classes, as well as special programs for children, female self-defense and unique combat fitness classes.
